Computer Systems: Desktop, Notebook, Server, Workstation
As specified on our invoices and/or web page all computer systems, including laptops, supplied by JNCS are custom built and come with an option for a 90 day to 3 year warranty. We provide three year free technical support on these systems and will replace and/or repair any parts that have failed under the specified warranty. The customer is responsible for shipping costs associated with returning the system and/or defective part to JNCS. JNCS will provide shipping back to customer. If no problem can be found, the customer will be responsible for shipping costs for return of the system and/or parts. Returns are only accepted in the event that we cannot resolve any outstanding issues with the system. Please see our Contacts Page for information on how to contact us for support.
Motherboard Bundles
All Asus, Tyan, Intel, Supermicro, Gigabyte, and MSI motherboard bundles come with an option for a 90 day to 3 year warranty. We provide free three-year technical support on these bundles and will replace and/or repair any parts that have failed under warranty. Customer is responsible for shipping costs associated with returning the bundle and/or defective part to JNCS. JNCS will provide shipping back to customer. If no problem can be found customer will be responsible for shipping costs for return of system and/or parts. Returns are only accepted in the event that we cannot resolve any outstanding issues with the bundle. Prior to January 1st, 2004, our bundle warranty was 1 year. Parts / Components:
All other items sold, with the exception of items that are clearly represented to be "used", "as is", or specify a different warranty period, are covered for 90 days from date of purchase by JNCS. The manufacturer warranty may be different. Any manufacturer warranty in excess of JNCS warranty will be handled directly by the manufacturer. Any items marked as manufacturer warranty only will not be covered by JNCS warranty. We will repair and/or replace (at our sole discretion) any items found to be defective within the JNCS warranty period. Customer is responsible for shipping costs associated with returning the bundle and/or defective part to JNCS. JNCS will provide shipping back to customer. If no problem can be found customer will be responsible for shipping costs for return of system and/or parts.
We may (at our sole discretion) offer an "advance swap" on any items during the first 30 days. If we choose this option the customer would need to provide a credit card number which would be used in the event that the original item is not returned within 2 weeks. Customer would be charged the current price for the "advance swap" items. The customer may also first return the original item to us. After it is received and tested, we will then ship out a replacement.
After the first 30 days we may (at our sole discretion) choose either:
- Repair – item will be returned repaired.
- Exchange – item will be exchanged with same item or item of equal or greater value.
- Refund – purchase price (or current price if lower) of item will be refunded.

All returns must have a valid RMA number! Any item sent back without a valid RMA number clearly written on the box will be refused. Please see our Contacts Page for information on how to contact us for a return.
Defective ItemsWe will accept a return for exchange during the first 30 days for any item that doesn’t perform to our stated specifications, either as set forth on our web page or on our invoice (which will be emailed you immediately after the sale). Customers meeting this qualification will be given a full refund (less shipping fees).
Non-Defective or Incorrectly Ordered ItemsIf an incorrect item has been ordered we will accept it back for exchange or refund as long as it is in its original packaging and in saleable condition.
We cannot restock an opened item and sell it as new. If an opened item is returned to us, even in good working order, we must then sell
it as a clearance item with full disclosure as to it’s history. Our fee for
accepting an opened item for return is 25% of the original purchase price.
If the item is returned to us unopened with the box in it’s original condition, we charge only a handling and credit card processing recovery fee of 4%.
JNCS charges your credit card at the time of sale. Order cancellations that occur on the same say as the order may be voided without cost to you or JNCS. Orders that are cancelled after the day of order cost JNCS a minimum of 2½% due to the credit card processing fee. We will therefore refund 97½% of the sale price upon order cancellation.
If the order has been shipped prior to cancellation, the item must be returned to JNCS before a credit is issued. In addition to the 2½% charged for recovery of the credit card processing fee, the cost of shipping will also be deducted from the amount to be credited.
All JNCS desktop, workstation, and server systems, unless otherwise specified, had a 3 year warranty that was built into the system price. If your JNCS desktop, server, or workstation system was purchased prior to August 8th, 2011, your system carries a 3 year warranty.
