Warranty/Returns

Before purchasing from us, please read through this document!

Warranty

Computer Systems:

All computer systems, including laptops, supplied by JNCS are custom built and come with a 90 day to 3 year warranty as specified on invoice and/or web page. We provide free warranty support on these systems and will replace and/or repair any parts that have failed under warranty. Customer is responsible for shipping costs associated with returning the system and/or defective part to JNCS. JNCS will provide shipping back to customer. If no problem can be found customer will be responsible for shipping costs for return of system and/or parts. Returns are only accepted in the event that we cannot resolve any outstanding issues with the system. Prior to January 1st, 2004, our system warranty was 1 year. Notebook Systems:

Notebook Computers have a 1 year warranty. We provide free warranty support on these bundles and will replace and/or repair any parts that have failed under warranty. Customer is responsible for shipping costs associated with returning the system and/or defective part to JNCS. JNCS will provide shipping back to customer. If no problem can be found customer will be responsible for shipping costs for return of system and/or parts. Notebook computers that are not able to be repaired by JNCS will be returned to the manufacturer's repair center. This may add significant time to the repair process. Returns are only accepted in the event that we cannot resolve any outstanding issues with the system. Please see our Contacts Page for information on how to contact us for support.


Motherboard Bundles:

All Asus, Tyan, Intel, Abit, and MSI motherboard bundles come with a 3 year warranty. We provide free warranty support on these bundles and will replace and/or repair any parts that have failed under warranty. Customer is responsible for shipping costs associated with returning the bundle and/or defective part to JNCS. JNCS will provide shipping back to customer. If no problem can be found customer will be responsible for shipping costs for return of system and/or parts. Returns are only accepted in the event that we cannot resolve any outstanding issues with the bundle. Prior to January 1st, 2004, our bundle warranty was 1 year. Parts / Components:

All other items sold, with the exception of items that are clearly represented to be "used", "as is", or specify a different warranty period, are covered for 1 year from date of purchase by JNCS. The manufacturer warranty may be different. Any manufacturer warranty in excess of JNCS warranty will be handled directly by the manufacturer. Any items marked as manufacturer warranty only will not be covered by JNCS warranty. We will repair and/or replace (at our sole discretion) any items found to be defective within the JNCS warranty period. Customer is responsible for shipping costs associated with returning the bundle and/or defective part to JNCS. JNCS will provide shipping back to customer. If no problem can be found customer will be responsible for shipping costs for return of system and/or parts.

We may (at our sole discretion) offer an "advance swap" on any items during the first 30 days. If we choose this option the customer would need to provide a credit card number which would be used in the event that the original item is not returned within 2 weeks. Customer would be charged the current price for the "advance swap" items. The customer may also first return the original item to us. After it is received and tested, we will then ship out a replacement.

After the first 30 days we may (at our sole discretion) choose either:

  1. Repair – item will be returned repaired.
  2. Exchange – item will be exchanged with same item or item of equal or greater value.
  3. Refund – purchase price (or current price if lower) of item will be refunded.

Returns

All returns must have a valid RMA number! Any item sent back without a valid RMA number clearly written on the box will be refused. Please see our Contacts Page for information on how to contact us for a return.

We will accept a return for exchange during the first 30 days for any item that doesn't perform to our stated specifications, either as set forth on our web page or on our invoice (which will be emailed you immediately after the sale). Customers meeting this qualification will be given a full refund (less shipping fees).

If an incorrect item has been ordered we will accept it back for exchange or refund as long as it is in its original packaging and in saleable condition. A restocking fee of 15% will be charged for any non-defective items. Customer will be given this partial refund (minus shipping fees). If a component such as a CPU or memory has dropped in price between order date and return date, this price difference would also be added to the restocking fee.
