This high-end model Intel® Xeon E5-2690 8-Core 2.9Ghz Processor is designed for use in advanced workstations and servers.  It is approximately 47% faster than it’s predecessor, the Intel® Xeon™ X5690 which it replaces. An additional benefit of the 2600 series is that motherboards built for this processor typically support more memory than the previous generation products.

Notes for Processors Sales
  • All CPUs are retail, in sealed box
  • JNCS does not accept returns once the box is opened
  • In order for a CPU to work in any given motherboard, the BIOS needs to know about the CPU. If a CPU is newer than the BIOS of the board, a BIOS flash may be necessary to recognize the CPU. The safest way around this potential problem is to have JNCS flash to the newest BIOS and install (and test) the CPU on motherboard. This service is available on our services page.
